Even though the last few years of his life have been filled with love and support from his foster family, teenager Tyler Gage just can’t overcome his rebellious ways. After sneaking in to the Maryland School of Arts, and getting caught for vandalism, he is sentenced to serve out community service, ironically at the scene of the crime. One of the prominent students of the school, Nora, spies Tyler hip-hop dancing on the street, and after her dance partner is injured, she asks Tyler to sit in as a replacement during rehearsals. Her idea is not met warmly by the school administration, but eventually, they agree to this arrangement and allow Tyler and Nora to practice together. As the two begin their artistic relationship, chemistry flares between the two of them which ignites Tyler’s creative side. As Tyler evolves and finds purpose in his life, it all comes down to one performance, which will direct the course of his future forever. |
