Overview
Pete Sandrich is a pilot and a risk-taker, very good at putting out forest fires from the air. His bravery is admired, but both his best friend Al and his girlfriend Dorinda, also pilots, worry that he’ll go too far and not make it back alive. That day finally comes, and Pete is startled to find himself in the after-life. An angel informs him that it’s his job to inspire and help people still on earth. Pete acts as a guiding spirit to a firefighting pilot named Ted. He is torn about helping Ted once he realizes that Dorinda is falling in love with him. In the end, he helps them both survive a tricky fire fight and encourages Dorinda to love again.
