Overview
The opening night gala for The Glass Tower, San Francisco's newest skyscraper, quickly turns into a nightmare after the building erupts in flames. Architect Doug Roberts realizes too late that contractors have cut corners with less-expensive wiring and shoddy work, which leads to shorts in overloaded circuits. The resulting fire traps party-goers on the 135th floor of the building, while Fire Chief Michael O'Halloran races against time and the raging inferno to devise a plan to rescue panicked guests. It soon becomes apparent that the best means of extinguishing the fire before it rages out of control may well kill many of those still trapped inside.
