Nancy Thompson was able to defeat Freddy Krueger when she was a teenager, but a new family has moved into her former Elm Street home. Jesse is a struggling teen with a concerned girlfriend, Lisa. As the two relax in Jesse's new bedroom, they discover Nancy's diary. Her former bedroom is now Jesse's room as Freddy begins to haunt his dreams every night. The couple read the diary and keep it for reference. Jesse finds himself in unusual places as he begins to sleepwalk. When he wakes, however, he is wearing Freddy's maniacal knife hand. In the dreams, Freddy is trying to employ Jesse as a real-life murderer to break out of the dream realm. Jesse and Lisa must find a way to defeat Freddy again before he can prey on the living without accessing their dreams. |
