Overview
A popular television series about crime-fighting babes gets the big-screen treatment in "Charlie's Angels." While the movie is largely a nostalgia trip for audiences of a certain age and an excuse for lots of explosions and scanty outfits, the movie provides an action-packed plot to facilitate these elements. It stars Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu as the title trio. The Angels are more than just pretty faces and bodies; they are ferociously skilled fighters, both when it comes to weaponry and hand-to-hand combat. While the movie is geared more toward men, women can appreciate that the action film is anchored by three powerful female figures.
