Overview
"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" tells the tale of Randall Patrick McMurphy, a rebel who thinks he is being clever when he manages to get sent to a mental institution instead of prison for a minor crime. He soon discovers, however, that life in the loony bin can be just as trying, especially when the place is run by a draconian nurse who keeps everyone under her thumb. After earning the respect of his fellow patients, Randall takes it upon himself to shake things up, encouraging them to stand up for their own rights. There's a lot of humor in the shenanigans he pulls just to buck authority, but going up against powerful personalities has its downfalls, as Randall and his friends soon learn.
