Overview
Phil Weston has always been an athletic embarrassment to his father, Buck. Phil’s son, Sam, seems to be following in his father’s awkward footsteps. Sam is a bench warmer on his little league soccer team despite Buck being the head coach. When Sam is traded to the Tigers, Phil steps up to become the new head coach. He takes it a little overboard when he recruits legendary Chicago Bears coach, Mike Ditka to be his assistant coach, who in turn recruits two Italian soccer prodigies. Fueled by (newly discovered) coffee, Phil sets out to find the acceptance from his father that he’s always craved, but will he alienate his own son, making the same mistakes as his father in the process?
