Overview
The year is 2012 and America is currently experiencing a high unemployment rate paired with economic chaos. Terminal Island is a place where criminals are forced to race armored cars as a life sentence, but are watched by millions of Americans as a form of entertainment, a form of entertainment in which two-thirds of the participants are killed, leaving the winner to earn freedom. Jensen Ames loses his job as a steelworker and is arrested for what appears to be the murder of his wife. He is sent to Terminal Island, but is given an offer by the Warden, a man named Hennessey. Jensen has the choice of dying in prison or taking the place of a dead champion who went by the name of Frankenstein. However, as the race approaches he begins to realize that everything might be a setup.
