Overview
John Reed is an American journalist who was known as being a radical. He was mainly active around the time of the First World War. During his adventures in journalism, he ends up meeting a woman named Louise Bryant. Although she is married, she decides to leave her husband in order to be with Reed. Not only was this a radical move in regards to the things that were accepted at the time, it also aided her in becoming one of the major feminists of the time. The two of them become involved in politics and labor disputes in the United States, but eventually find themselves in Russia just in time for the October Revolution that happened in 1917. Upon experiencing this, they return to the United States with hopes of leading a revolution like the one in Russia.
