Overview
Dian Fossey is a scientist who decides to travel to Africa in order to study the gorillas there. In the course of watching them in their natural habitat, she becomes very attached to them and fiercely protective of them. She is horrified by the poaching that decimates the communities of these creatures that have so much in common in people. After spending so much time observing their gentle way of life and earning their trust, Dian becomes more comfortable among the gorillas than with other people. However, she will have to return to civilization if she is going to make great strides in protecting the animals she loves. Unfortunately, she will have to go up against some pretty antagonistic people in order to do it.
