Overview
On November 3, 2015, Michelle Payne, the daughter of a racehorse trainer, became the first woman ever to win the Melbourne Cup in over 150 years of the race's existence. She was still in her twenties when she achieved this incredible feat. Michelle's father Paddy Payne raised nearly all of his children to become jockeys. Yet, Michelle, the youngest daughter, often found herself in a world filled with people who didn't believe that women should race horses. These same people certainly didn't believe that she could win. Follow Michelle from her early childhood dreams and the many obstacles she faced when she started in the sport to that triumphant moment...
