David Freeman is a fairly ordinary boy who lives with his parents and younger brother. In 1978, he vanishes, and no one in his family knows what has happened to him. What has actually transpired is that David boarded an alien ship and went for a voyage with it. The ship is sentient and goes by Max. The two become friends, and Max take David home, but eight years have passed. David finds himself in an institution where he is studied by scientists. He befriends a young nurse, and she helps him escape. Now he must adjust to all the changes that have occurred in the last eight years while he tries to reunite with Max so he can go back to his own time. |
