Overview
After a heart attack, Daniel Blake is denied government assistance even though his doctor has warned that he still needs time for recovery or will be at risk of developing a life-threatening condition. Daniel appeals to the courts, but is forced to look for work. He meets a struggling single mother of two who faces similar problems as she seeks assistance to feed her family. Together they work to try and navigate a cold and unforgiving system.
