Helen, a recently-widowed doctor, goes to visit the cottage she and her husband once shared. After hearing a gunshot one night during a storm, she finds and assists an injured man named Will. They soon discover that Will's assailant is still on the loose and trying to find them, and they cannot get off the island due to the bad weather.
