Country-Western singer Hank Williams spent many of his early years toiling away in small honky tonks trying to get his music heard. After being rejected to perform at the legendary Grand Ole Opera, Williams makes it his mission to show the Country-Western elite what they were missing out on. During his meteoric rise to stardom, he sets himself on a self-destructive path in both his career and personal life because of drinking and womanizing. While the constant escapades were putting a tremendous burden on his life, the contributions he was making to Country-Western music made him a legend in the making.
