Overview
DCI Banks is a British-based television series featuring a detective chief inspector (DCI) modeled after a character in Peter Robinson's mystery novels. The main characters are Alan Banks and his Assistant Detective Annie Cabbot. They tackle dangerous and increasingly twisted cases as the series progresses. Banks is gritty and set in his ways. He is very observant of the people and clues around him and doesn't leave a hair unturned as he goes over crime scenes with a fine-toothed comb. The spunky think-outside-the-box Cabbot balances him out as they get to the bottom of these British capers and take the criminals to task.
