Overview
In the rough terrain of Sevier County, Tennessee lives Lester Ballard, described as “a child of God much like yourself.” Lester is a violent man with a shadowy past who attempts to live outside the normal realms of society, not bending to social convention or law. With no family and no ties to the community, Lester has nothing to hold him to the world, so he begins to descend deeper into a life of isolation and crime, going so far as to take up residence in a cave.
