Overview
Khumba is a young zebra who is born with only half the stripes of a usual member of his species. Unfortunately for him, the herd into which he is born fixates on the stripes that he's missing rather than his own value as an individual, and he is branded as a cursed foal. After being rejected by his own father and blamed for his mother's death, Khumba has to venture outside his home and is constantly under the threat of attack from a superstitious, half-blind and vicious leopard. With the help of a quirky wildebeest and ostrich duo, Khumba will attempt to survive and discover what it means to truly be special.
