The New York Knicks were having a horrible 2011-12 season. The team was plagued by injuries, inconsistent play, and bickering inside the locker room. The coach had tried everything but each time he would try to put a player on the floor to get the team moving, that player would get injured. It came to the point where the only player left was a guard from the developmental league named Jeremy Lin. Lin made his debut with the Knicks in February 2012 and the team immediately went on a winning streak. The hysteria caused by Lin's appearance was described as "Linsanity" and it would start debates around the sports world as to what the real effect of Jeremy Lin was on the Knicks that season.
