Overview
Cory Brand is a professional baseball player whose successful career has taken a downward turn as a result of his alcoholism. When his drinking problem causes him to return to the town he was raised in for some good old-fashioned rehabilitation, he begins to realize that the time has come to turn his life around. Although he initially tries to convince people that he is doing better than he actually is, he ultimately finds the courage to admit that he has a serious problem. Meanwhile, he finds new meaning in his life as he takes charge of a little league team full of misfits and tries to coach them to victory, and a new romance with an old flame rekindles his hope for the future.
