A comedic look at the victories and defeats of members of the British working class is tainted with darkness as well, yet ends up being an adventure. Young Robbie has had a rough life and definitely was not dealt the best hand when he is forced to work a blue collar job. He doesn't have a penny to his name and few prospects when his first son is born. The moment will be life-changing, convincing him that his son will have a better life and more opportunities. Before he can achieve his goals, Robbie will face many challenges along the way, including a stint at community service and in-laws that simply want to get rid of him.
