Dr. Stafford Weiss is a life coach who became a millionaire through self-help books. His wife managers the career of their teenage son who is a child movie star with a lot of problems including a stint in rehab at the age of nine years old. Their daughter, Agatha, was recently released from a criminal psychiatric clinic where she was admitted after being convicted of pyromania. After her release, she becomes friends with a limo driver who has dreams of becoming a screenwriter. Weiss treats many clients including Havana who wants to shoot a remake of a movie that made her mother famous in the early 60s. Her mother is dead now, but Havana is haunted by visions and by the shadow of her mother's fame.
