Overview
New York City resident Clary Fray thinks of herself as a pretty typical teenager, but she learns that this is far from the case. Clary has a heritage that could spell out her destiny for her. He is a Shadowhunter, a warrior with a celestial background. Half human and half angel, she is tasked with the job of keeping the demonic forces of the universe at bay. Shortly after she makes her shocking discovery, Clary is further disturbed by the disappearance of her mother. The time has come for her to stop living an ordinary life and take on the role for which she was born, traveling to the New York underworld of Downworld to tangle with many occult and evil creatures and defeat them.
