Overview
Judah Rosenthal has been having an affair. When his mistress threatens to tell his wife everything, Judah feels desperate. Dolores also threatens to bring his less ethical business dealings to light. Judah wants to protect his marriage and his reputation as a respected eye doctor, so he hires a hit man to kill Dolores. Wracked by guilt, he begins to turn back to his faith, represented by a gentle rabbi, one of his patients. Meanwhile, a man named Cliff is making a documentary about his celebrity brother-in-law Lester. He falls in love with a woman on the production team, but she falls instead for the insipid Lester. Cliff and Judah meet at the wedding of the rabbi’s daughter and discuss life and morality.
