Overview
Chuck Barris tries to make it big in television, but the networks show little interest in his idea for a dating game show. Meanwhile, he is recruited to join the CIA by Jim Byrd. One of the conditions of the job is that he can't tell anyone about his work. As Barris continues to go on top-secret missions for the government, he begins to find success as a game show producer, first creating "The Dating Game" and then producing a popular follow-up, "The Newlywed Game". As his star rises, his double life becomes more complicated when a CIA mole begins to target agents.
