An overprotective dad, James Porter, is dreading his daughter's transition into adulthood. While deciding on colleges, the daughter, Melanie, looks to Georgetown University while her father wants her to go to Northwestern only a half hour away. Two of Melanie's friends are taking a road trip to see colleges in Pennsylvania and want her to come, but her dad has other ideas. Creating his own college road trip, James talks his daughter into going with him instead of her friends. With a twist of fates, Melanie's brother, Trey and family pig, Albert, join father and daughter on a comedic look at college choices. From hiring actors to discriminate against Georgetown to another father-daughter duo working the group's last nerves, James and Melanie need to find a common ground as she leaves for her future career. |
