Overview
Simba is all grown up now and ruling over Pride Rock. He is the father of the headstrong Kiara, who befriends a lion cub named Kovu. The two of them quickly hit it off, but Simba is horrified when he learns of their friendship. That's because Kovu is the son of Scar's mate Zira. While Scar is dead and no longer a threat, Zira intends for Kovu to grow up and overthrow Simba, establishing their shadow group as the dominant one. Kira and Kovu are determined to defy their parents and retain their friendship. With some help from the wise Rafiki, they dare to believe that there might just be a way to unite these sadly estranged groups and live together in peace and harmony.
