Overview
Alike is a young woman grappling with her sexuality and its effects on her family and friends. Her mother is religiously opposed to Alike's lesbian lifestyle and her attempts to feminize Alike prove fruitless. Her father accepts her choice, but only as he deems it to be a phase. As Alike's choices drive her parents apart, she takes comfort in her friend Laura who is also a lesbian. Alike learns about love, true friendship, and acceptance as she discovers what it means to be a strong woman.
