Overview
Robert is a journalist from Spain whose dying father is a veteran of the Spanish Civil War. He finds out as part of investigative work that his father had also been involved in a close yet complicated friendship with Josemaría Escrivá, a man who was a candidate for canonization. The divergent paths taken by Robert's father and his priest friend create a narrative about anger, betrayal, understanding and forgiveness among other qualities that define what it is to be human.
