Overview
Entering the 20th century, China is ruled by the pitiless mother of the seven-year-old Qing Dynasty emperor. The empress' rule is tactless, and has divided the country into several feuding factions. Huang Xing, a Chinese soldier, returns from Japan to find his country in ruins and is compelled to take action. Xing rouses a violent rebellion against the monarch that results in many bloody battles. He must unite as many of the factions as he can under a noble cause if unity and peace are ever to come about.
