Overview
In 1987, Danielle is considered the dirty girl of Oklahoma’s, Norman High School. When Danielle’s wild behavior forces school officials to place her in a remedial classroom, she finds herself working on a parenting project with Clarke, who is an innocent loner with no social circle. While Danielle is focused on traveling to California to find her father, Clark is making every effort to avoid military school, and a homophobic dad. As the duo heads for answers in California, they begin to discover each other and the unlikely friendship that is beginning to take shape.
