Henry McCarthy is content with living the life of a successful author. Chosen to give the commencement speech at his old high school, Henry returns to his hometown and to the old feelings that once tormented him in his youth. When he comes face to face with the object of his school boy affections, Scarlet, Henry must admit that he is not entirely satisfied with his life. Henry must survive his hometown and make peace with his past as he tries to give a speech that no one will soon forget.
