Overview
Based on an inspiring true story, a dolphin gets tangled and caught in a crab trap; she is found and untangled by a boy, Sawyer Nelson. Winter, the name of the dolphin, is transported to Clearwater Marine Hospital, where her prognosis is not very good. When the tail must be taken off, the boy believes that the dolphin can resume to swim with the help of a prosthetic tail. A noted marine doctor, who specializes in prosthetics, and the unwavering belief of a young boy help to get Winter back in the water. She becomes an inspiration to millions of people through the miracle of her tail. Compassion and bravery of people and animals are exemplified in Winter's tale.
