Outsourced is a comedy that follows the humorous exploits of an American whose job is suddenly outsourced to India. A sales manager for a novelties company, Todd encounters not only a language gap, but also a cultural gap as he learns how to manage a misfit team of telephone sales clerks selling items to Americans. There is office intrigue courtesy of an uppity head salesman who is after Todd's job, and romance, courtesy of a fellow foreigner, an Australian woman, who is after Todd. Along the way, there is humor, like when Todd tries to throw a bachelor party with requisite lap dancer for his head salesman and the salesman's very prudish fiancee walks in on them, and pathos, as in the case when one of the clerks falls in love with one of his phone customers, a lonely woman from the States.
