Overview
The world's future consists of a population that closes its borders to each other and lives in a virtual reality. Digital communication is the norm and a digital framework is also used for commerce and other activities. The military forces of the world have complete control over the population, but much of the work being done by forced labor is virtual. People do not have any freedoms, even though they can escape into a virtual world. Three people decide that enough is enough and they band together to try and break down the virtual walls, open up the borders, and get people to make real contact once again. They are trying to bring the humanity back to the human race, but that is the last thing that the military forces want.
