Overview
Emily Jenkins, a caring social worker, is given the task of finding out if sweet Lilith Sullivan is being mistreated by her parents. Emily is horrified when Lilith is saved from being burned alive by her parents. The parents are deemed insane. Lilith has grown close to Emily and wants to live with her. Emily gains temporary custody and the child moves into her home. Emily soon suspects there is something strange about Lilith. The child appears to have strange powers over people. After the child's mental evaluation leads to more tragedy, Emily seeks answers from her parents. What she learns strikes fear into her soul. People in Emily's close circle are dying and Lilith is the cause. Emily must now do the unthinkable.
