Yakuza gangster, Muraki decides to visit all of his old haunts after being released from prison. His attention is soon captured by an strange presence in the gambling underworld, a young upper class woman name Saeko. Though her luck and skill at gambling is far from profitable, Saeko insists on continually raising the stakes. Muraki soon decides to take Saeko under his wing in an attempt to mentor her and save her from her own destructive behavior. Muraki, however, soon realizes that this may be easier said than done. He must battle against being pulled into Saeko's self destructive world, while also dealing with the strange shifts in power that have taken place during his incarceration.
