Overview
This kid-friendly twist on William Shakespear's "Romeo and Juliet" centers on two groups of garden gnomes who live in neighboring yards and despise each other. The two groups hold a lawnmower race in an alley behind their homes and it is there that Gnomeo and Juliet meet. The two gnomes fall in love despite the wishes of their families and have to meet in secret. Both families are enraged when they find out about the relationship, and it isn't until a lawnmower accident in which both Romeo and Juliet are presumed dead that both Gnome families consider the senselessness of their actions. When Gnomeo and Juliet are revealed to be alive, both groups of gnomes find that they can finally live in peace.
