Overview
Elements of comedy and drama define a story line that is based on a 1981 New Year's Eve party in New York City. A group of friends and complete strangers in their twenties go out to celebrate the New Year while reflecting on issues such as love and careers. Sexual tension, awkward dates and other relationship related problems define the humor in the plot. A party that was originally planned for a few close friends turns into an event that attracts complete strangers from all over the city. Monica, who hosts the party, is taken by surprise as more and more people rush into her out of control event. Excessive drinking and silly behavior make all of the adult characters realize how immature they are.
