Albert Spica, a sadistic mobster, appropriates a popular swanky French restaurant. He visits it each night to gorge himself on gourmet food and carouse with his underlings. His beautiful and refined wife Georgina is embarrassed by his boorish behavior, but is too afraid of the brutish gangster to halt his behavior. Spica begins to torment a quiet restaurant patron who reads during his meals. The tables are turned when Georgina falls for the bookish man and engages in an affair with him behind her husband's back.
