This comedy with dramatic overtones follows the career of recent law school graduate Robin Weathers, who lands his first professional gig signing onto a firm with a questionable reputation. Weathers manages to convince his first client not to accept a plea and after winning the man a not guilty verdict, becomes an overnight legal sensation. His co-workers think he needs to be taken down a notch and assign him a second case that they think is not winnable. This second client isn't so easily manipulated as was his first, and refuses every attempt to cooperate with Weathers even though he is facing the death penalty for a first-degree murder conviction. |
