Overview
Trying to make his name as a criminal defense lawyer, Ben Chase agrees to defend Martin Thiel, a man accused of murder. Ben is successful in the defense of his client and Martin is acquitted of the charges against him. Shortly after Martin's release from custody, the heinous murders begin again. The formerly accused man seeks counsel once more and Ben consents to defend him, though his conscience tells him that Martin may be a murderer. Dismissing the concern of friends, Ben is insistent that by working closely with his client, he may be able to unmask Martin's true nature. Overflowing with confidence, Martin draws Ben into an increasingly complicated game of cat and mouse, the result determining the continuation of a psychotic's killing spree.
