Overview
For three decades, two back-up soul musicians have maintained a feud by refusing to meet or interact. With their band dissolved, there is no need for them to reconcile until the death of their former lead singer mandates a reunion performance. A gorgeous young lady assumes vocal duties for the group, and she is assumed to be one of their daughters. Her life is tragic and filled with abuse, but music provides an outlet for emotional relief. The duo works to rekindle their friendship before a major gig at The Apollo. Many obstacles sprout up along the way to test the endurance of their bond. Through their difficult journey, the pair overcomes illicit romances and vitriolic gangster rappers. They reunite on stage for soulful expressions of their entire ordeal.
