Overview
Los Angeles teenager Montoya Santana begins a life of crime when he forms a gang with his friends J.D. and Mundo. The trio is arrested during a burglerly and sent to a youth detention center. Santana is eventually transfered to a prison after he commits a murder at the juvenile hall. Over his next 18 years behind bars, Santana takes charge of Le Eme, a gang that grows become a significant criminal power in the city. When Santana is finally freed, he finds a world that is very different from what he remembered. He would like to change his life, but finds that leaving his past behind isn't easy.
