Overview
Dr. Carolyn Ryan and her sculptor husband, Ben appear to have the perfect life. They live is a small town with their two kids, Jacob and Judith. Their lives are turned upside down when the town sheriff informs them witnesses saw Jacob kill his girlfriend, Martha Taverner. Jacob is missing. Ben discovers bloody clothes in his son's car and burns them. He also cleans the car before the sheriff returns with a search warrant. The Ryan's begin a desperate search to find Jacob. Meanwhile, the townspeople shun the couple. Mysterious postcards from Jacob begin arriving at their home. They are reunited when Jacob is captured and returned by police. Jacob reveals what happened. Ben and Carolyn are at odds over revealing the truth in court.
