Overview
The Whitfield family has not been together for Christmas in many years, but this year, all of them are prepared to enjoy the holiday together. However, the convergence of so many people brings a host of clashing personalities into the mix, and Ma'Dere, the matriarch of the clan, finds herself in over her head as she tried to sort out all of the family drama. Each of Ma'Dere's children has different issues, from marital problems and dealings with loan sharks to a secret and forbidden desire to be a recording artist. The otherwise warm and gentle Ma'Dere is fiercely opposed to musical careers because her husband was a professional musician whose music caused him to abandon his family, but a new generation brings new hope.
