Overview
Tom Wingo is stuck in a cold, loveless marriage. When his twin sister tries to kill herself, he is suddenly jolted out his funk. Tom travels to New York to see his sister, and during his visit he meets Susan Lowenstein. She is his sister's psychiatrist who also has a troubled marriage. Susan and Tom soon are drawn together through loneliness. Tom learns to deal with his mother who is one of the main reasons for his dysfunction. Tom and Susan go on a journey together of newly discovered love and friendship.
