Overview
A young boy nicknamed Fool has just found out that his family is going to be evicted from their apartment in a Los Angeles ghetto. Even worse, Fool’s mother is dying of cancer and the family cannot afford her medic al care. Desperate for money, Fool and two of his friends decide to rob their landlords, the Robesons, who are rumored to be in possession of rare gold coins. One of the boys is able to enter the house in disguise, but when he doesn’t return, the other boys become suspicious. They return to the house in search of their friend but find much more than they bargained for. Fool quickly realizes that the Robesons are not who they appear to be—they are a team of deranged killers who have imprisoned children in their basement. With the help of the couple’s abused daughter, Alice, Fool must navigate the house of horrors in order to escape, with or without the fortune that he came for.
