When Henry VIII calls upon the Boleyn family, the near grown children know that they are up to something. As it turns out, the king is in search of a mistress, due to the fact that his wife, Katherine, has been unsuccessful at providing him with a male heir. It is Anne, the extroverted, bubbly, charismatic daughter that the Boleyn family intends to woo the king with; however, Henry, as it turns out, finds pleasure in the innocence of Mary. The king doesn’t care that Mary is already married, and soon the rivalry between sisters escalates, as they fight for their place in nobility. The sisters may have different ways of getting what they want, and Henry, as well as the entire nation, may look down on their shenanigans from time to time, but in the end, one will win…or will she?
