Paula McFadden is a former ballet dancer who lives with her eight-year-old daughter Lucy in New York City. They stay with her boyfriend, an actor named Tony Deforrest. One day, Paula and Lucy come home to find that Tony has left them. Now, Paula must go back to work to allow them to survive. To make matters worse, it turns out that Tony has sublet the apartment to Elliot Garfield. Elliot has come to New York to act in a production of “Richard the III,” and now he, Paula and Lucy must find a way to share the apartment together. They have lots of conflict in the beginning, but as time goes by they grow closer. By the end, romance has blossomed. But when Elliot gets a job acting in a movie in Canada, Paula fears she will be abandoned all over again. |
